State requirements
Every state is different. Some require nothing; others want attendance days, instructional hours, a portfolio review, quarterly reports, or standardized testing in certain grades. These pages say what the regulation asks for, in plain English with the citation, and which Schoolhouse report answers it.
New York
900 or 990 hours and 180 days, an annual plan (IHIP), four quarterly reports, and an annual assessment. Schoolhouse prints the IHIP and the quarterly report.
Pennsylvania
180 days or 900/990 hours, a log of reading materials, work samples, tests in grades 3, 5, and 8, and an evaluator's certification. Schoolhouse prints the evaluator summary.
Missouri
1,000 hours, 600 of them in the five core subjects and 400 of those at home, with a daily log. Schoolhouse prints the hours log with all three totals.
Every other state
The five record reports (attendance calendar with the day count, hours by subject with core and location splits, lesson log, reading list, portfolio book) are what most districts, umbrella schools, evaluators, and scholarship programs ask to see, whatever the state. Set your home state in the guided setup or under Settings; when your state's own format arrives, it appears under Reports without any change to your records. Requirements change and districts have their own forms. Every page here and every state report in the app cites the regulation it follows and asks you to confirm with your district, evaluator, or umbrella school before filing. This is a summary by a software company, not legal advice.
